JASON KENT (CEO / National Scout)

For nearly 27 years, Jason Kent has coached and trained student athletes at all levels of competition as a head coach and assistant men’s basketball coach in the NCAA, NAIA, AAU basketball and boys’ high school basketball.  More than 20 of his former student athletes have moved on to play professional basketball.

Coach Kent specializes in recruitment, player development, mentoring, and strength & conditioning.  By instilling hard work ethic, determination and discipline in his coaching and training technique, Jason is known for his ability to maximize abilities and propel students to their full athletic potential. Coach Kent is a Scout, Gold license USA Basketball Coach, partnered with the Jr. NBA,  Lead Clinician with Breakthrough Basketball, an SDC Scholarship Camp Director for Chicago and National Evaluator and Training Consultant for World Basketball Exposure. "My goal is to ensure that the athletes who decide to train with Next LEVEL 24 are developed into players who make an impact on their teams." Says Coach Kent. 

Coach Kent and his wife Anna have two children; Jayson and Janae.

ANTHONY KENT (Executive Director of Player Development) 

Anthony Kent, brother of Coach Jason Kent. Anthony played his high school ball at Columbus Whetstone in Columbus, Ohio and completed his Collegiate career at Ball State University. 

After college Anthony went on to play professional basketball in Bordeaux France where he spent two years and then was picked by the NBA G League Fort Wayne Mad Ants where he spent two years. Anthony would go on to play for two other teams in NBA G League teams, the Maine Red Claws and the Westchester Knicks. After playing in the NBA G League for 4 years Anthony played two years in Japan. Anthony is currently playing in Argentina, where he has been at for the past four seasons.  As of recent Anthony was picked up with the NBA Sacramento Kings as on of their Player Development Specialist. 

Anthony insight and knowledge of the game of basketball is valuable to the overall development of those athletes who train and participate in NextLEVEL 24 programing.  


SAMARIE WALKER (Player Development Coach)

Samarie Walker,  has joined the Next LEVEL 24 Basketball LLC family after an outstanding high school career, collegiate playing career and pro career. Samarie is Ohio native but now resides in the South Suburbs of Chicago. Samarie started her collegiate career at UCONN and then finished her career at the University of Kentucky. While at Kentucky Samarie was named to the All – SEC Second Team and SEC All – Defensive Team and was named to the NCAA Tournament All-Regional Team 2010-11. The following year Samarie led Kentucky in rebounding, steals, FG%, and blocks.

After her outstanding career at the University of Kentucky Samarie went on to play pro basketball oversees in various countries such as Australia, Spain, Finland, Lithuania, Sweden and Luxenbourg. 

“We are blessed to have a wonderful talent join our Next LEVEL 24 Basketball LLC family. Samarie Walker was a McDonald's and WBCA All-American, was invited to the USA Olympic team tryouts 3x, and was projected to be a WNBA draft pick. When you look at Samarie’s resume you get excited because she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will impact all athletes that train with her” says Coach Kent. 

Samarie graduated from the University of Kentucky 2014.


JORDAN FAIR (Player Development Coach )

Jordan Fair, is in his 8th year after having a very successful playing career at Wheeling Jesuit University (NCAA D2). During his junior season Jordan help Wheeling Jesuit University become the number #1 ranked team overall in the country! Jordan followed up his senior season with an appearance in the elite 8 of the NCAA tournament.

Jordan will be taking NextLEVEL 24 training to the great state of Florida. Jordan will run Camps, Individual Training, Clinics and small group training sessions from ages 4 to 18.  “Jordan brings a lot of energy to Next Level 24 Baskketball and I am excited to have him apart of our program. Those individuals who train with Jordan will develop, learn, and become a skilled athlete,” says Coach Kent. 

 Jordan graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University with a degree in communications and is the brother of Owner Coach Jason Kent and Co-Founder Anthony Kent.


ANNA KENT ( Player Development Coach)

Anna Kent, servers as one of Next LEVEL 24's skills trainer who has dedicated herself emphasizing on the importance of fundamentals in her training sessions, while enhancing a players’ basketball IQ and overall game knowledge.  Anna is a former NCAA Division l student athlete, Head Women’s Basketball Coach and a 20-year veteran in College Athletics Administration, Compliance and Operations.  "I am excited to have my Anna apart for our program and her experience, organization and her drive to help others is a quality that will enhance everything we do here at Next LEVEL 24 Basketball LLC," says Coach Kent.  

Anna played and graduated from West Virginia University where she help lead her team to the Sweet 16 and a number of victories throughout her playing career. Anna earned her B.S. and continued her education receiving a M.S. in Sports Administrations.

Anna is married to Next Level 24 Basketball LLC. Owner Jason Kent and they have two children; Jayson and Janae.

 

 


Josh Hill (Player Development Coach)

Josh Hill, Next LEVEL 24 Basketball LLC. has added Player Development Coach Josh Hill.  “I am excited to have Josh join the Next LEVEL 24 Basketball family. He brings a wealth of talent and has a great understanding of the game and will make an impact on those athletes he interacts with, says Coach Kent.” 

Josh grew up in Oregon where he played high school and college basketball. Josh played 2 years at an NAIA DII Northwest Christian University. Josh then transferred after having some career ending injures to Anderson University (IN) where he became a Student Assistant Coach for the Men's Basketball Team.

“I have been training and mentoring players at all levels and I look forward to making a difference in athlete’s lives that I work with. I am very excited to join Next LEVEL 24 Basketball family and continue making a difference, says Josh.”

Josh graduated with a B.A. in Sports and Rec Leadership.

 

 


ANTHONY PATTON  (Player Development Trainer)

Anthony “AP” Patton started his coaching Career at Northern Illinois University as a Student Assistant where he was involved with every aspect of the program, which included the training and development of multiple NBA and European Professionals. 

After graduating from Northern Illinois University, Anthony became an Assistant Coach at Morton College. During his tenure at Morton college, Anthony played a major part in helping turn Morton college into a Junior College Contender, winning two conference championships, and one regional championship. 

“Anthony has been able to be around the game at a high level and his passion for the game is like no other. Anthony’s really looks to development scholar athletes the right way and won’t stop until he has made a true difference and made a positive impact on the youth,” says Coach Kent.

Anthony Graduated from Northern Illinois University with BS in Corporate communications.


 JAYSON KENT (Youth Development Trainer)

Jayson Kent, has been working with our younger scholar athletes on the basic fundamentals. Parents have been very pleased with the development of their scholar athletes, which is why Jayson stays booked. 

Jayson's is the son of Coach Jason Kent and Anna Kent and has been has a wealth of knowledge of the game. Jayson is on Athletic Scholarship at Indiana State University.  

 

 


JANAE KENT (Youth Development Trainer) 

Janae Kent, is one of Next LEVEL 24 up and coming youth trainers. Janae has been working with our youth scholar athletes on building their foundation of the fundamentals. Janae believes that teaching youth scholar athletes the fundamentals is her way of giving back and enjoys her time with the scholar athletes. 

Janae is the daughter of Coach Jason and Anna Kent. Janae is a Junior at Oak Forest High School and is considered to be the #1 rated player in the 2023 class in the state of Illinois and one of the top players in the United States. Janae has committed to play basketball at LSU.
