Functional & Vertical Training, NextLEVEL24's Functional & Vertical Training program has two primary goals. The first is to improve athletic performance, which usually means improving athletes’ speed, strength, and power (although specifics vary according to the athlete). Trainer Jon Calhoun will develop systematic training programs for student athletes, which includes teaching proper techniques, supervising and motivating athletes as they work out. Assessments of their performance will be completed before and after the program. The nature of this training program will vary depending on the skill set of the athlete. During the off-season, conditioning programs will be quite rigorous to improve athlete's endurance and muscular strength. In season, training programs will be tailored to focus on maintaining an athletes’ conditioning and strength rather than improving it.
The second primary goal is to reduce athletic injuries. To that end, conditioning coaches often design regimens to strengthen body parts that are prone to injury in basketball. Our goal is to keep student athletes healthy so they can stay out there competing. Perfecting our student athlete’s craft not only builds confidence but also has an overall positive impact on their lives.
Passing and Rebounding, Athletes will learn that being able to pass the basketball is an important skill, as passing leads to easy baskets and, by extension, victories. The fundamental passing skills that high level basketball players possess create openings for their teammates, and result in easy shots. Rebounding is one of the most important aspects of basketball. It is the primary way to regain possession and can create scoring opportunities as well as limit your opponents scoring chances. Athletes will learn that you do NOT have to be tall to dominate on the boards and that the key to rebounding is speed, timing and effort.
Ball-handling Clinic, At almost every level of competition, the most versatile and successful basketball players must have the ability to effectively handle the basketball at any position. Developing this skill, not only takes time, but also requires constant repetition and perfect technique.
Next Level 24’s ball-handling clinic helps athletes master this fundamental basketball principle by encouraging the athletes to reach new levels and exude confidence on the court.
Basketball Shooting Clinic, NextLevel 24’s Basketball Shooting Clinics develop the athletes' shooting ability from every area of the basketball court, including:

Scoring Off The Dribble, Shooting off the dribble is a vital part of an offensive player’s arsenal. If you are a point guard, shooting guard, or small forward, a large amount of your shot attempts are going to come off the dribble. Being able to create space between you and your defender is vital to your success as a player, and this sesssion will help with that development.
Bitty Ball Basketball Clinics, The Bitty Ball Basketball Clinic is an instructional, non-competitive program, designed to introduce young children to the fundamentals of basketball. The basketball rims are lowered to 8ft and the children use junior size basketballs.
Post Clinics, Learn how to play bigger than your size, play stronger and tougher, own the interior, and finish with power in the paint. This clinic is designed to develop offensive post skills, teach technique for rebounding against bigger players, capitalize on defensive mismatches, and increase your post IQ.
3point Clinics, Athletes will sharpen their 3-point shooting technique in no time. With interactive guidelines, we will develop athletes' footwork and release. We have developed a shooting program that covers alignment, power source, accuracy, touch, arch, and backspin.
Defensive Clinic & Footwork, Athletes will work on pressuring the ball, forcing a player with the ball to dribble or turn away from the basket, reducing their opponents’ number of shots, forcing their opponent to shoot a poor percentage shot, preventing the ball from going in to the post, post defense, help side defense and the importance of proper footwork.
Mid Range Scoring, Athletes this is the answer to a lot of your problems when attacking the basket. Learn how to score after encountering tall helpside defenders between you and the rim. Mid range scoring adds a whole package of scoring opportunities to your arsenal that makes you incredibly difficult to defend. Mid range scoring will teach you how to be more effective in a higher percentage scoring area on the basketball court.
Girls Club, Just because you are a female student athlete does not mean you have to train with all boys. Come to NextLEVEL 24's Girls Clinic and train with other female student athletes. Transform your game to the NextLEVEL by pushing and competing against other players in this intense and fundamental workout that will help your student athlete raise her level of play but most importantly, her knowledge and of the game.
Small Group Training 2-6 players, Small group is a great fit for friends/players of similar skill level who want to work together. It offers an opportunity to work in a competitive environment while still receiving individualized feedback. NextLEVEL wants to ensure players get the most out of these sessions and will provide each player feedback and ‘homework’ from session to session.
